We're studying how the healthy adult brain changes over time. Participants receive a personal report on their brain function from both study scans.
Healthy adults 25 to 65 · New York City area · Two MRI scans, at least four months apart
To understand how neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and reorganize, varies over time in healthy adults.
Brain function across major functional networks, using npMRI on a standard 3T MRI scanner.
Two short resting MRI scans at least four months apart, plus an optional activity journal between scans.
Partner imaging sites in the New York City area.
Conducted under the oversight of an Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Fill out a short screening form.
Read the consent form and ask the study team anything before you decide.
A short resting MRI scan at a partner imaging site.
Go through your brain function report with a member of the study team.
At least four months later, so the study can measure change over time.
A report covering each functional network and what it does.
Time with a member of the study team to walk through your results.
Access to your dashboard and an optional activity journal for the length of the study.
Your report describes patterns of brain function for research purposes. It is not a medical diagnosis and should not be used to make medical decisions. There may be no direct benefit to you from taking part.
This study is participant-funded. Participants pay a fee of $2,000 per scan to cover study-related costs, including MRI scanning, data processing and analysis, platform access and study administration. You can pay before each scan or for both scans at once. Full cost details are in the consent form.
